Following the expulsion of a Russian diplomat in Skopje last month, Russia has responded with the expulsion of a Macedonian diplomat in Moscow today.
“Acting Ambassador of the Republic of Northern Macedonia to the Russian Federation, Olivera Chaushevska-Dimovska, was invited to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, where she was handed a note from the Ministry, which declares an employee of the Embassy of Northern Macedonia in Moscow a person “Non grata”, stated the Russian embassy via a Facebook post.
Macedonia’s Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani said the move will “undoubtedly have negative influence” on bilateral relations.
