Amazon’s AWS starts cooperation with the Macedonian Innovation fund

The Macedonian Innovation and Development Fund (FITR) struck the first domestic partnership with the international cloud computing giant, Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Thanks to the cooperation, Macedonian startups can enjoy a range of benefits which include favourable loans for the use of the AWS cloud platform.

Kosta Petrov, Director of the Innovation Fund stated that Macedonian innovators and entrepreneurs can tap loans of up to US$100,000 and AWS will secure technical support towards the development of products and services.

In order to promote the initiative and better educate those who may be interested, FITR is going to organize informative sessions and AWS will enable access to educational resources via its platform.

In the past ten years Macedonia experienced a blossoming of the IT industry. Most companies work on international projects and some have created their own Software as a Service platforms that are used around the world.
