Macedonia’s President Stevo Pendarovski met with Pope Francis today as part of his visit to Saint Cyrill’s tomb in Basilica di San Clemente, which he performed individually and with his Bulgarian counterpart, Roumen Radev.
The president tagged the pontificate in his post with the message: “The Pope is the first person to receive the new shirt of the Macedonian football team, with his name inscribed in Cyrillic. This shirt will be worn by our best footballers at the 2020 Euro. Let’s hope for luck, new successes and wins!”
